The following is a list of problems of injuries or other procedures your horses may recieve and the cost of taking care of it.
GELDING--$150.00 per horse
Special Shoeing--$150 for horses with Navicular or Thrush
Cut-- $100-$500 depending on type
Stone Bruise-- $200 + $50 for meds, and 2 weeks rest
Shin Splints--$500 emergency vet care, $50-$200 meds, Rest or Retirement depending on severity
Sprain--$300 vet check and $50 linament wraps/soaks 2-6 weeks rest to RETIREMENT depending on severity
Bite(from fighting) $100-$300 + $50 meds, and 1 week rest
Blown/Bowed Tendon-- Retirement $500 emergency care fee
Dehydrated --$200 plus $45 for electolites and IV Fluids 1- 2 weeks rest
Head Contusion/Bruise - $100-$300 depending on severity 2-4 weeks rest
Thrush $300 + $65 meds, 4-6 weeks to clear up,special shoes to keep feet dry and medicated $150
Bruised Back- $35 for linament 2-4 weeks rest
Colic $500 emergency vet fee + $75 meds and Iv 1-2 weeks rest
Swollen Joints--$250 for vet and linament wraps 2 weeks rest
Arthritis --$75 a month for Bute and $50 for linament wraps rest a week or two after flare up
Navicular -$500 emergency care, special shoeing $150, Bute $75 a month, RETIREMENT
Broken Bone -$500-$5,000 emergency care, RETIREMENT if fixed, $75 Bute
Lost Foal (miscarriage)-$500 emergency vet care, $50 Iv Fluids, and pain meds if needed
Cribbing/Sucking Wind --$60 for cribbing collar
