Yes, I'm sad to have to say this but Barbaro was euthanized today. The pain in his legs finally caught up with him. He was a great horse and will always be remembered. Rest in peace sweet boy.

RIP Barbaro so sad that it had to happen to such a wonderful horse but at least he wont be suffering now

DEATH OF A CHAMPIONBarbaro was a champion in every way. It hurts to see him gone after his battle for his life. He doesn't deserve this fate. He should have won the Triple Crown and been revered for his speed. However, Barbaro remained victorious, winning every one of his starts except for the Preakness which he did not complete. Rest in peace, boy. You were and still are loved. We will never forget you. There are very few champions like you left and we appreciate the heart and talent you gave to the sport. Thank you. Words can not describe you. Goodbye. A little something I made in memory of this great champion.

I don't see why not. They might be taking semen to freeze from him. If they aren't, I don't think we should keep him. We should just let the mares already bred to him stay bred and take him off.

since most have not been posted yet , i agree with Amy we will use him this few times then retire him . I have some that i havent posted yet , im always way behind in getting my own and the game mares posted . lol this will be his one and only partial season. RIP to a Great One
